Two volumes, octavo (214mm x 135mm), Volume 1 - 222pp, 4pp adverts at rear, wood engraving frontis piece. Volume 2 - 277pp, 4pp adverts at rear, wood engraved frontis piece (plate 1) and 7 further plates, 2 wood engravings and 5 aquatints, 3 of which are folding.
Very good copy in contemporary half calf with marbled boards. Gilt decoration to the spines and gilt marking to the top, fore and bottom edges of the spines and corners. Some browning of pages in volume 2.
